Designed first and foremost to appear in the image of the place where the sky meets the sea, the place where the sun rises, and from whens life comes. On the top of this device, to the right and left of the nozzle in the center, are the touchscreen controls for the release and control of the water this stopper is meant to work with. This is an electrically powered, digitally controlled, and works without any visible moving parts. This is Sunrise Faucet – completely lovely.

Instead of using all that precious and energy-wasting metal in the construction of a scale, why not use water? That’s what the designer of this fabulous project thought, then he brought it to life – Water Scale, a scale that uses Archimedes’ Principle in a simple container to create just what he thought of in his mind.
The object that is to be weighed is placed ont he scale plate which then sinks into the water in proportion to its mass, overflowing the water which then moves up through channel under the water reservoir. The weight of the object is measured with water and the plastic bead in the channel. This scale can weigh objects up to 1000 grams, and is more economical and lighter than most electric and mechanical scales in the market.
Plus no electricity, no energy consumption – green.

This design is called Vessel, it’s a bathtub that without a doubt uniquely floats above the ground, letting you bathe in an environment unlike anything you’ve been in before. What’s the benefit? You mean what’s the benefit other than it’s completely amazing and there’s nothing else like it? This new design uses carbon-fibre technology developed for the autosport and aerospace industries to bring you fine surfaces unlike any comfortable place you’ve been to with your bare butt.
This new carbon-fibre the designers are speaking about is made for much grander stages, or is it? What do you consider a more important place – autosport and aerospace, or your own home? Extremely fine surfaces are found in exploiting the inherent rigidity of layered carbon fibre. Envelop yourself in the “Vessel.”

Presented here are two projects by Sandra Haak that envisage future technologies like Polytronik to help develop her concepts. The first project is 101° Degree, which is a water boiler and the second project is GUADO, a cooking and tableware set consisting of a hibachi and unique bowls with flatware. Check out the finger-tongs that allow you to pickup bite-sized nibbles without getting your fingers dirty. So kitsch!

C-Water is one of those concepts that’s too good of an idea not to share. An entry in the Incheon International Design Awards, C-Water boasts water purification possibilities using a simple distillation technique. The power source? The sun. The slim, yet stackable object can float on any calm water surface. Fresh water gets collected in a separate reservoir and the whole thing is compact enough to go portable. Looks like Designboom is spreading the word too.

Let me take you on a fancy journey into the deep thought involved in a sculptural sink design. This is a world where a spaceship floats over a sea of porcelain, bringing you only what the title of the project implies: “The Dream of Water.” Of course this sink is fully functional, and using it will be like a dream to you. Come with me into the poetry that is water delivery, brought to you by no less that designer Jerome Olivet.
Here at Yanko Design we definitely do encourage creative sink making, especially when the design is heavily sculptural and/or innovative in its delivery. Molded in white ceramic, the bathtub reveals its magic.
Several walls of light surround our area of well-being.
We are therefore transported to an aquatic and wonderful world.
This is an invitation to travel in a shining spaceship that spins slowly in the wind.
Carved out of a shiny metal, the aerodynamic faucet soars above the water.
Lying beneath, all these curves strangely caress us. Peace descends calmly.
And it’s being bathed in this warm and fragrant water that allows happiness to gently invade us.
