I thought I would take a quick diversion from the norm here and give our readers a look at a wonderful villa on the Lycian Coast of Turkey. This stretch of coastline is often referred to as the “pirate coast” thanks to the many coves and small islands where the numerous sea raiders would take refuge. The Island of Malta is located just south of Sicily and is viewed as a stepping stone into the African continent. The villa or palazzo, Italian for “private residence”, is located in the town of Rabat. Malta is a member of the EU and is accustomed to glitter and stardom having hosted filming for movies such as Gladiator, Count of Monte Cristo, Alexander and U-571. The Malta villa underwent a renovation to update the interiors to a more modern décor and to add important features needed in everyday living such as wi-fi. One sitting room in particular really boasts of bold colors drawing upon the influence of its nearby Tunisian and Libyan neighbors. French Polynesia Bora Bora is famous as a vacation destination with its majestic lagoons and crystal clear water.
