The “Z Side Table” is a nice departure from more traditional table models. The design was made by criss-crossing two letter Z’s and then affixing a base on top and on bottom. This product is available from Hellman Chang and can be found here.

This cool furniture is built in mind for those home owners looking for a contemporary accent that is minimal in nature. This piece is called “Rank C” and was designed by Bülend Özden for Derin Design. Rank C’s geometrical shape sparks interest since the rectangle is not completed. Red and white always make for strong colors sure to draw the attention of house guests. Via.

This coffee table design submission was created by Kyle Buckner a student at VCU. The coffee table was a project made as an assignment for a sculpture glass that required a medium of wood. Kyle provided these comments:
“I stacked multiple layers of pine plywood, gluing each layer together. Once dried, I ground down all layers to one fluid shape. The surfaces were then properly prepared for the red mahogany stain and polyurethane. 1/4″ glass was also custom cut and used to complete the coffee table. The smaller glass on top has two 3″ holes cut out, and when assembled, these serve as cup-holders.” Via – Kyle Buckner.
