Sound Inspired Shower

3:01 pm in Bathroom by Troy Turner

The Swing shower system is based on a simple idea that draws conceptual parallels between the natural widening of water flow and similar shapes found in the amplified sound of brass instruments. The inspiration can be found in the conical shape of the shower head, but no matter your taste, in chrome and matte-black finishes it’s sure to compliment classic and contemporary bathrooms alike.

Whatatree – A Water Tree

3:03 pm in Home by Troy Turner

I love this sexy design by Hansel Schloupt & Pol Trias Coca. The Whatatree is modular shower system consisting of 5 360-degree turning segments that can be combined to the user’s preference or to fit any space. An intuitive color system controls water running down from the top of the tree, following the lines of the naturally formed stem down to the ends of the branches, creating an entirely new shower experience. The striking form was inspired by the tree but in a modern twist is presented in brilliant stainless steel.

Suds In The Shower

7:12 pm in Bathroom by Radhika-Seth

Soapy is an innovative shower system (wall, hand and rail shower) that integrates the soap dispenser with a difference. What this means is that liquid soap is dispensed at the push of a button and mixed with the shower water. So basically when you are soaked enough, you simply push the button and soapy water is dispensed. I guess by the time you lather up, regular water comes out, allowing you a good rinse. I find it more of a spa – gym shower kinda thing, don’t you?

Soapy is a Bathroom Innovation Award entry.

Sweaty In The Shower

5:20 pm in Bathroom, Concept by Radhika-Seth

Before they hit the showers, many people like to pump a bit of iron, even if it’s just to stay in shape. Building on this idea, designers Hong Ruei-Hong & Lin Pin-I came up with the idea to integrate exercise with taking a shower. I like the idea of this Bana Bender mix, especially for those folks who always look for an excuse to stay away from the gym. You don’t even need to include an extra 5 minutes or something…. just pump your arms while you bathe!

The over-sized shower nozzle is a piece of elastic, bendable device. Holding the handles on both sides of the “Bana Bender”, you can work on your upper-body and take a shower at the same time.

Sauna of Mammoth Proportions

3:01 pm in 未分类 by Troy Turner

Everyone’s favorite ice age creature is the focus of this sauna by AtelierForte. The last in a series of huge animalian sculptures that aim to join art and positive industrial construction, Mammuthus Belli features a 10 meter high body and support structure made of spruce as well as 6 meter long iron tusks. Water flows under the belly as well as through the trunk from a tank located inside the iron head. See the making of the mammoth on April 15th!

Two Showers In One

Water fixtures can make or break the bathing experience, and If you’re like me and need a shower to wake up in the morning, you know the importance of having a great showerhead. The In2ition shower offers a variety of experiences with it’s detachable center handshower. In position it merges with the main flow to create a serious drench. If you’re a multitasker, the handshower releases so you can give your bod the attention it deserves. This girl is looooooving it, and so will you. Get it here.

Bathing with Sharks

11:24 pm in Bathroom, Design, Tub by Radhika-Seth

We are not revisiting JAWS but are smitten by the very elegant Shark Bath. It’s a tub plus shower system with additional jet sprays on the side arms. Designer Michael Samoriz was totally inspired by the oral cavity of this magnificent animal and has cleverly depicted its strong jaw line through the bath’s exterior extensions. Quite sophisticated and smooth for an imposing theme like this!

Rub A Dub Dub, Futuristic Tub

4:00 pm in Bathroom by Long Tran

The Tulip is a revolutionary bath/shower combo designed for small bathrooms. Inspired by tulip blooms, the pod like shape serves as a bath when open and as a shower when closed. In this upright position, the footprint is significantly reduced. This inspired and efficient use of space brings luxury features normally reserved for traditional units into the smallest bathrooms. Underwater jets, massagers and programmable sequences ensure the most relaxing bathing experience. Patent pending and looking for a manufacturer.

Aquabox Bath System Recycles All That Bathroom Water

12:56 am in Bathroom, Bathroom Design & Furniture, Concept, Design, Eco Friendly, Modern Design, Recycling, Sink by chris

A few days ago we've seen an interesting bathroom shower concept meant to help us recycle unused water and today we have a similar eco-friendly bathroom design that's supposed to recycle all that bathroom water you use in your bathroom. The Aquabox bath system is actually a complex bath unit that will help you recycle and purify the water you use during your showers or while you wash your hands. The "wasted" water gets purified and then stored into an 80-liter tank and you can further use the same water to flush your toilet and even water your flowers. The design is definitely interesting and some sort of Aquabox bath system could be included in more and more bathrooms in the near future. Any early adopters ready to try the Aquabox? Modern BRS Shower Lets You See Where Water Comes From

3:05 am in Bathroom Design & Furniture, Concept, Modern Design by chris

This modern BRS shower is just a very interesting concept so far that happens to have won the Lite-On Awards just recently. As you can see in the images below, the BRS, or bathroom recycle system, is a shower that doesn't only look good but also can help you save some water with every shower you take. Instead of waiting for the water to get warm enough for your next shower with the water running and therefore being wasted, why not recycle it in the huge transparent basin. That way the recycled, clean, cold water (but otherwise unused yet) can be used for the washbasin or the toilet on the other side of the shower. Once the temperature of the water rises you can enjoy a great shower with the water running at the desired parameters. The concept is really simple here; the BRS shower has two showerheads that simply let you save the cold water and only take advantage of the warm/hot water for all your showers. Anyone looking to buy a BRS shower yet? Via Lite-On Awards
