Known for his ultra contemporary furniture, Karim Rashid is now designing for Soft Line where he created this sofa called "Pierce". At first glance the backrest almost looks to be detached from the seating area. Though it appears to be scarcely attached in truth it creates a unique contemporary visual by not being burdened by typical furniture design principles. More information: here.

By nature a new restaurant has to be hip and trendy to take us away from our favorite eateries and take our business to a new place. "Restaurant Et Cetera" is a new project created by designer Jan Schreiner. In the images provided by Jan, we can see an incredible use of colors that really create some "pop". The use of pinks blended with darker background colors create an environment that is light and intimate at the same time. Here are the latest in lavatory faucets from Fluid. Called the “Swing” collection, Fluid sought to design a line of hardware that would appeal to many different decorating styles from clean and simple to more artistic in form and shape.
