The Walking Family is a set of console tables and small end tables designed by Alessandro Loschiavo. Although the overall design of the Walking Family Collection depicts simplicity, you can see the inspiration behind the name of the collection in the curves of the legs. The twisted angles created for each leg resembles a walking animal, such as a group of deer.

The tables within the Walking Family Collection are made in rosewood or mahogany. There are console tables and smaller tables that each have a rectangular top and the curved legs that create the walking illusion. Each table is made using a waste-free process that uses a single slab of wood with no wasted shavings.

A modern twist on a traditional style of end tables, designer Gareth Neal made these modern King Louis Tables out of recycled cardboard.

Using a 3D computer drawing and CNC processing, Neal created the honeycomb structure of the King Louis Tables. These tables are a part of Neal’s Traditionally Worn Collection, and were also a part of the Lab Craft Exhibition at the London Design Festival.

Alexandra von Furstenberg may have a famous ex mother-in-law ( Diane von Furstenberg ) but that hasn't stopped the designer from really coming into her own. Famous for having a penchant for lucite and playing with the realms of fashion and design, her new Bullet Coffee Table is infused with a rare dark energy as it seems to resemble a bullet inspired coffin! But maybe its my own morbid imagination that is seeing a resemblance with a coffin since the designer is aiming for something completely different. Von Furstenberg's Bullet is constructed of 18 clear acrylic panels which are precariously joint at each of the 18 junction to give an illusion of a life size diamond. Alexandra von Furstenberg's designs are not everyone's cup of tea but there is no denying that the designer shows flashes of genius when it comes to mixing fashion, fantasy and furniture.

Designed by Mikael Mantila, the Marker is inspired by a doodle drawn with a wide marker. Made from colored glass, the Marker is supported by a steel frame.

Mantila designed the Marker table for Protoshop, which is an event put together for Habitare, Finland’s largest interior design and furniture fair held each Fall in Helsinki. Protoshop showcases prototypes from several Finnish designers. The 2010 Protoshop displayed Mikael Mantila’s design, along with 14 other designers work as well.

The Jet Table highlights Brazilian architect Guilherme Torres penchant for intelligent design and modern engineering. Inspired by the futuristic cartoon The Jetsons and something as trivial as plastering float, the streamlined table takes centre stage thanks to its punctilious aesthetics and unconventional form factor. Made of MDF boards and available in five different iterations, the table is finished in pulsating colors. The Jet table is in total accordance to the international sustainability standards and all waste generated during the manufacturing process was sent for recycling.
