Cube shelves are a great way to offer storage in a simple fashion. The great thing about these is that they can be fashioned yourself as a home project. This example here is finished in a stone color that creates a gray look against the dark backdrop of the wall. The model is called "cube lit" due to the lighting installed underneath the cube shelves. Via.

A Minimal Sofa for the Decorating Purist

6:51 pm in Couch, Decorating, Desgin, Furnishings, Furniture, Home, House, Sofa, Sofas, White by John

If you are a minimal decorating purist, than the “Max” sofa here from Flexform is worth consideration. They have nicely adapted the concepts of minimalism in the thin seating cushions, narrow sofa legs and smaller backrest. By not “overdoing” the furniture stuffing like many products on the market today, they allow minimal design fans a chance for living room perfection. Obviously, if black and white is your color scheme that is a bonus too. More information: here. Via.

The two-tone wood look hearkens back to Dutch design specially the combination of white and natural colors. Turno is also available with black sides which might fit better depending on your furniture colors. The touch of glass at the top offers a small window, but not too big and one that might survive in a house with children. Price: 1,100 € (teak) – 1,250 € (rosewood). More information: here.

Oriade Bedroom Furniture Set from Gautier of France

The striking element in the “Oriade” bedroom furniture set is the wood finish. Called butternut, the wood has distinct vein marks which give it strong visual appeal as light to dark browns are streaked together in the wood grain. The shape of the bed frame and headboard offer curves which help compliment the rectangular shapes of the nightstand and dressers. More information can be found at Gautier of France: here.

In this black sectional sofa, Leolux takes away some of the back rest to create a more contemporary design. It opens the look of the furniture entirely making the room appear more open and less subject to the standard shapes associated with a boxy sectional sofa. This product is called Vol de Rêve and can be found here. The design was created by Jane Worthington who has created other well known pieces such as the De Sede DS152 sofa.
