I love this sexy design by Hansel Schloupt & Pol Trias Coca. The Whatatree is modular shower system consisting of 5 360-degree turning segments that can be combined to the user’s preference or to fit any space. An intuitive color system controls water running down from the top of the tree, following the lines of the naturally formed stem down to the ends of the branches, creating an entirely new shower experience. The striking form was inspired by the tree but in a modern twist is presented in brilliant stainless steel.

The limited edition Water Stone Faucet and sink system is as elegant as it gets. Working on the relationship between water, lights and the rippling effects of pebbles and stones, designer Omer Sagiv makes an effort to bring the natural elements into the home environment. And he does this quite artistically with special inputs by Touch360 and Smith Newnam, who have designed the working mechanisms. Swanky, just the way I like it!

The Bamboo Fountain faucet takes inspiration from the natural Asian springs and looks like a bamboo stem. The water intentionally flows as a slow gurgling fall to minimize wastage. The water flow can be fortified with dietary elements like Calcium, Iron, and Potassium using special cartridges. I think this is a good idea for counties where it is safe to drink out of tap water. Temperature control and touch sensitive display round off the features.

I am totally captivated by the Luna Faucet! It is such a super sexy curve that has the audacity to compete with the crescent edge of the moon! And guess what, it succeeds in its efforts and is quite a design inspiration. Available in polished chrome and brushed Steelnox satin nickel finishes, I’ll be picking up the faucet and shower combo when I remodel my bathroom.

The Kross faucet claims to be the thinnest faucet on the market but there’s a tradeoff. Its profile is quite large to compensate for the diminished width. Still, the chunky profile somehow works. Aesthetically it’s minimal without being visually conflicting. The German made rectangular aerator  produces a uniquely shaped stream of water. The strength and temperature of this flow can be smoothly controlled via the easily reachable handle and high quality ceramic cartridge. Available in black, nickel and white but I would love to see it in matte red, blue and grey too.

Designer Jessica Hunt answers with a rather interesting concept. Her take is a sleek brushed steel tube with a long notch along one side for water to flow. No knobs or taps; a simple swipe across the arm turns it on. It offers various levels of hot and cold water through lateral touch points and comes with a handy spray. It even includes a pyramid base, which doubles as a soap dispenser. How very B&O – stark and highly functional.

Designed first and foremost to appear in the image of the place where the sky meets the sea, the place where the sun rises, and from whens life comes. On the top of this device, to the right and left of the nozzle in the center, are the touchscreen controls for the release and control of the water this stopper is meant to work with. This is an electrically powered, digitally controlled, and works without any visible moving parts. This is Sunrise Faucet – completely lovely.

1ℓimit faucet looks more like an elegant test tube inverted on top of a tap. The glass tube holds exactly one liter of water, sufficient for a quick handwash. The theory being that we waste almost six liters of water and use only one, while washing hands. Once the stored one-liter is used up, you have to turn-off the tap till the next one liter fills up the tube. A cumbersome rationing process that will hopefully drive home the point of conservation!
