At first glance the collection of Berlin Chaos Chairs might not seem like they have a much in common, but take a closer look and you’ll see that they share what you might call a “common ancestor.” Unique cuts and simple changes in surface finishes transform an ordinary chair into endless variations that however different, are also proportionally and structurally identical.

For those confined to a wheelchair, getting around onboard an aircraft can be quite challenging & usually requires assistance from one of the flight crew. Adding this element to the already frustrating flying experience can discourage users from travlling altogether. This is where the Skycare Chair wins- utilizing wheels placed under the seat rather than at the sides & a hand-operated lever system to move forward or backward. It offers independence when moving to & from the lavatory or from chair to gate.

The modular sofa engages the user with individual elements that can be pieced together to form countless seating combinations that will never get old. A convertible loveseat/sofa, chairs available with or without arms, and a variety of colors offer even more personal customization.

This interesting design aims to fulfill two very distinct functions: recreational biking and seating! At first glance, the C-Bike is just a chair on wheels, but attach it’s front-mounted 3rd wheel and you’ve got a fixed gear trike for trips to the park or around the neighborhood. A stabilizer on the inside of each wheel ensures you won’t roll away when your seated.

OK – so that’s not an actual problem… but if it was this would be the solution! More aesthetically charming than practical, the Biker Chair reinterprets the seating position on a bike to a woven leather chair that’s sure to be a conversation starter.

The Katra chair stands out from others not only because of its stealthy aesthetic, but because it’s inspired by the intrinsic qualities of the material from which it is made. Formed from a composite consisting primarily of ramie (a super-fibrous variety of nettle), the material offers superior strength, lightness & durability beyond that of even fiberglass. Katra’s design reflects these qualities and represents the unique creative opportunities the furniture industry is just beginning to explore with the composite.

The skateboard is both the inspiration and the material that forms this awesome series of seating. Each deckstool or deckbench is made from real recycled broken skateboards, making each one unique with its own dings, scrapes, and artwork. Even old trucks are re-used as anchors between pieces. The Qi Dian chair (Chinese for air ring) features a fiberglass body and memory foam cushion seat making it super light weight, sturdy, and comfy. Its futuristic look and tear drop shape may limit it to more modern settings, but different color combinations expand its use to a number of themes.

Inspired by one of nature’s original architectural elements, the bird nest, the Eyrie Chair is an ode to both natural construction and organic material. The branch supports were meticulously chosen to mimic the shape of the natural structure and the nest seat is made of steam-bended ash. As hard as it might be, it actually looks quite cozy!
