Trapezium

4:01 pm in Lamp, Light, Lighting by Troy Turner

This simplistic luminaire consists of two trapezoidal pieces of metal that together form a hexagonal outline. Trapezium’s exposed top and bottom each cast a soft light cone while light pushes through the narrow lateral gaps on each side to display thin streaks on the surrounding walls. The direct and indirect light contrasts to yield the simple yet surprising geometric form of a trapezium.

Kassen Stalb Lamps May Come in Pairs

10:48 pm in Lamps, Lamps & Lighting, Light by chris

The Stalb Lamps are part of Kassen's Stalb Lighting Collection and, as you can see in the pictures below, they may or may not come in pairs. According to the creators, the Stalb Lamps are designed by combining "current biomorphic design elements with the Brutalist principle of steadfast truth to materials." In other words you can expect a steel structure and a concrete base, both respecting their original colors to support a plywood cube that hides the light source. The Stalb Lighting Collection is definitely worth looking into it and may be a solution for any room of your house as the lamps come in two versions: Stalb Reading and Stalb Ceiling. I guess it's pretty clear which one does what, isn't it? Via Kassen Lifestyle

New Interior Lighting Design by Treluce Studio

6:00 pm in Art, Decorating, Design, Interior, Lamps, Lamps & Lighting, Lighting, New, Scuplture by John

Treluce Design Studio is headed up by Marcus Tremonto. This interior lighting design is a new work from the studio. Shaped much like a ribbon, this new shape combines lighting and sculpture all in one object. With raised ceilings being so common now, this type of design can really tie together both floors with one transitional object. Via.
