It has been an eventful year for Yanko Design, partnering with IDSA for their IDEA Awards. We showcased some really innovative ideas and hope that our readers are inspired to participate in the 2012 competition. Davin Stowell says that “Great design begins and ends with a deep understanding of people’s innermost needs and desires with a responsibility to society.” We agree and we certainly look forward to some exceptional projects being presented right here on YD. I have followed Pottery Barn for years. I can tell you that their best leather recliner is their Manhattan model. Having owned one of these chairs for several years I can say that the quality has been top notch. There have been no issues with springs, the reclining mechanism or the leather upholstery. The iconic color for them is the cigar brown which creates a classic look for any room this chair may sit in. I will say this chair does have a sizable footprint so if your floor space is limited, it may be a challenge to work into a smaller room. Dimensions: 39” wide x 40” deep x 36” high.
