This beach front villa in the British Virgin Islands is a welcome site during the colder months. Known for its pristine blue water, the islands remain a hotspot for tourists and those well to do enough to own property on the islands. This villa is on Beef Island on a 1.89 acre plot. The house is located west of the airport on the north side of the island with views of Little and Great Camanoe Islands. The house has 5 bedrooms and 3 ½ bathrooms. The pictures show the wonderful view and location of the property. One drawback is that old sectional sofa that certainly needs replacing. Be sure and take a look at another Virgin Islands dream home that was covered earlier at Furniture Fashion. Via.

In these more conservation driven times incorporating some green elements into home decorating is in. This lighting fixture allows the home owner to participate by providing a placeholder for driftwood. When washed up on a beach driftwood may be thought of as litter though it is biodegradable. Here it becomes an extra decorative touch to lighten up a room. Called “Tundra”, this product can be found here.

French Polynesia Bora Bora is famous as a vacation destination with its majestic lagoons and crystal clear water. Island real estate is hard to come by since the location is so coveted and not just open to any outsider that is not a local citizen. These pictures are for those who are serious about owning island real estate or are like me and enjoy dreaming about “what could be”. This small community of seaside villas is being developed by Theirry Barbion in collaboration with the local government and Four Seasons. Each villa will either be seaside or lagoon side depending on its facing. In total there are 15 dream homes available on 16 acres of real estate. You can see from the design pictures the use natural vegetation and architecture structure in the construction plans. You can get more information on the project: here.

This amazing beach house in Antigua and Barbuda has approximately 10,000 square feet of living space and thus could be classified as a mansion or a place that could house many families at the same time. It is located on the southeast coast of the island at the point of a peninsula which creates amazing views of Half Moon Bay. The acreage it sits on is elevated added to the panoramic views and also offering protection from storm surge. Each bedroom features a hexagonal shape as an extra touch in the house design. I would probably make the décor a bit more modern, but the furniture follows a more traditional approach often found in beach houses in the Carribbean. Nearby local attractions include Nelson’s Dockyard and Falmouth Harbour. More information: here.
