The Bathboard is a too-good-to-be-true design. It has all the makings of an excellent bathtub; one, which folds up and holds enough water for a good soak. But my only worry is that will the framework take the weight of water + the person using it? For the moment lets just consider this, the tub is made from foam rubber treated to be very elastic and spongy. It weighs less than 3 kgs and juts out only 12-cms from the wall. A flexible drainpipe starts above the central point of the tub, making it easy to fold up. So back again to my question, can we have this design workable for the cause of bathing luxury in limited spaces? If yes, then I surely want one.

The Gloob project is a children’s bathtub that fits in perfectly with today’s bathrooms and can be used in a variety of ways. Use it as a traditional tub and changing table. Stand it on its pedestal or go low and sit it on the floor. I love the design but the stand does look like it could wobble. BTW, clean babies are the best kind. Just sayin’.

Nessie is a take on the classic cast iron baths from yesteryears. It features two shells made from recycled aluminum that are wielded together. The beauty about this design is that you can create color contrasts for the two tubs. The current blue and white combo is very Greek and relaxing feel to it.

Wanda is not a person but a bathtub designed by Daniel Debiasi and Federico Sandri for Antoniolupi. It’s been designed to make sure couples can get cozy and comfy enough when they take their bonding session into the bathroom. The tub features a border that rises up to create a backrest that protects and supports without occlusion. Shiny curved surfaces and sleek finishing just adds to the sensual outlook of the design.

The first thing that comes to my mind when I see the Disambigua – Unambiguous, is roast meat! The reason behind it is simple, the way you need to keep rotating the meat on a skewer for uniform cooking, likewise rotate this concept for uniform cleansing. One turn it’s a bathtub, another turn and it’s a washbasin. Now this is what I call a complete wash!

The Tulip is a revolutionary bath/shower combo designed for small bathrooms. Inspired by tulip blooms, the pod like shape serves as a bath when open and as a shower when closed. In this upright position, the footprint is significantly reduced. This inspired and efficient use of space brings luxury features normally reserved for traditional units into the smallest bathrooms. The following bathtub is not your average, technologically advanced, but otherwise boring, bathroom tub. The Shore Tub moves up and down in order to offer you an even more interesting bathing experience. The Shore Tub has enough space inside for four or more people so you'd have to make sure you place it in a large enough bathroom, preferably not your living room like in the images below. Once inside the tub you'll be able to command it to move up and down as you desire. That way you'll be able to walk in and out of the tub without worrying about falling in the process, not to mention that the whole bathtub movement has to be pretty interesting once you sit down for the ride.
