Modern BRS Shower Lets You See Where Water Comes From

3:05 am in Bathroom Design & Furniture, Concept, Modern Design by chris

This modern BRS shower is just a very interesting concept so far that happens to have won the Lite-On Awards just recently. As you can see in the images below, the BRS, or bathroom recycle system, is a shower that doesn't only look good but also can help you save some water with every shower you take. Instead of waiting for the water to get warm enough for your next shower with the water running and therefore being wasted, why not recycle it in the huge transparent basin. That way the recycled, clean, cold water (but otherwise unused yet) can be used for the washbasin or the toilet on the other side of the shower. Once the temperature of the water rises you can enjoy a great shower with the water running at the desired parameters. The concept is really simple here; the BRS shower has two showerheads that simply let you save the cold water and only take advantage of the warm/hot water for all your showers. Anyone looking to buy a BRS shower yet? Via Lite-On Awards

Ammonitum Wooden Sink Takes 12 Weeks to Complete But Is Totally Worth It

9:03 am in Bathroom Design & Furniture, Modern Design by chris

If you love wood so much that you'd be willing to fit your bathrooms with wooden sinks then you should know there's a professional way of actually building those special wooden sinks. Or better said the guys at Ammonitum know how to make such wooden sinks and each sink has to go through a 12-week process of creation. The wood used in the Ammonitum sink will have to be shaped accordingly then glued, polished and varnished. But as soon as these steps are all completed you'll end up with a beautiful, wooden sink that will make your neighbors and your friends jealous on your new bathroom design. And guess what? Ammonitum can make wooden bathtubs too, so why stop at ordering just wooden sinks?Via Ammonitum

Feel Free Faucet Control System Brings More Technology to Your Bathroom

10:29 am in Bathroom Design & Furniture, Furniture, Showers by chris

Instead of boring faucets that still require manual handling you could simply go for the Feel Free faucet control system from Kaesch which will add a welcome technology touch to your bathroom and you'll never have to touch another faucet again. The Feel Free faucet control system will let you control the water flow and its temperature by simply touching a few buttons on a panel linked to the faucet. The Feel Free control system will fit well with regular basins or sinks but also with showers, bathtubs and toilets. The interface is pretty intuitive and you can't really go wrong with such a design. The only objection here is that those people that are visually challenged will have a harder time actually using the controls but hopefully Kaesch will find a solution to this problem too. Magic Mirror Cares About The Environment

2:39 am in Bathroom Design & Furniture, Mirrors, Modern Bathrooms by Tanya

If preening in the mirror is more than just a pastime for you then the Magic Mirror is your new best friend. Designed with a conscious, the mirror not only tells you who the fairest of all is but also reminds you to turn off the lights! Depending on the angle from which you are looking at the mirror, it switches from being just a mirror(front) to communicating the text: "Hey! You look good but...you look better if you switch off the light". Of course you can always change the text to something like "you are a goddess" (yes I can be a megalomanic).

Traditional Bathroom Furniture Design with a Transitional Touch

5:00 am in Bathroom, Bathroom Design & Furniture, Clean Lines, Design, Modern, Traditional, Traditional Furniture, Transitional by John

Transitional is a fun design area to be in where traditional furniture and design moves a bit more to the modern side. Bathroom design is perhaps the most fitting area for a classic home to move a bit transitional. A bathroom is associated with “getting clean” with a high expectation on keeping it sanitary. The “clean lines” fundamentals behind modern design exude a clean look which creates the public appeal towards transitional. These pictures come from Lasa Idea and highlight traditional bathroom furniture that has a transitional influence. Via.
