Purveyors of minimalist designs will appreciate the sleek and chic styling of the Quarantacinque (Forty-five) single-lever mixer. Manufactured by Italian company Ottone Meloda, the Quarantacinque is dominated by clean punctilious lines, scuplturalistic silhouettes and modern streamlined aesthetics. The Quarantacinque is edgy and the 45-degree angle is what makes it unique and different from the rest of the clique. The chic chrome finish further enhances the form factor which has actually been designed by New York-based firm AF Design Lab for Ottone Meloda.

Etrusca’s Pink And Silver Designer Bathroom

5:39 am in Bathroom, Bathroom Design & Furniture by Tanya

Italian design company Etrusca seems to know a thing or two about the fairer sex and hence are not afraid to experiment with a bold color patellate that includes shades like pink, red, gold etc. Meshing up hues like pink and silver requires a lot of design gumption since there is always a danger to end up with something garish and outrageous but that is certainly not the case here. In fact the subtlety of the silver plays off brilliantly with the drama of the pink and the bathroom vanity looks straight out of a fantasy. Offering full customization to its discerning clients, Etrusca seeks to be changing the face of bathroom culture and we applaud them for it.

Fondital Dafne Radiator Puts a Spin on Home Radiators

11:44 pm in Bathroom, Bathroom Design & Furniture, Design, Modern Design by chris

Whether you like or not, the summer went away in so many regions of the world so I can't blame you if you're shopping for heaters, radiators or boilers. Your new home should offer you plenty of heat but that doesn't necessarily mean that all this heating equipment has to be dull. The Dafne radiator part of the Black Label Design Radiator collection by Fondital is definitely not boring. This exclusive new line has recently been launched, and, as you can see in the image below, we're looking at a new way of building radiators that makes them very appealing to the eye. The Dafne radiator is definitely an out-of-the-box radiator design, but if you're shopping for regular heaters, radiators or boilers, Fondital has those kinds too. Via Fondital

No More No Less Quantitative Tap

4:19 am in Accessories, Bathroom, Bathroom Design & Furniture, Faucets by Tanya

Save water, save the Planet. No I have not joined Greenpeace but there is absolute truth in this noble belief and designer Jasper Hou also adheres to it. His "No More No Less," Faucet is a brilliant piece of work as it strives to cut down water wastage and promoting water conservation. "No More No Less," as the name indicates is a quantitative tap that has been equipped with a pre-control. N.M.N.L. that pre-measures the water flow in different settings. The on board LCD screen which is powered by the kinetic energy of flowing water gives information regarding control, temperature etc. There is also a nifty little 30 second meter which turns of the faucet after 30 seconds.

Balena Bathroom Faucet From Wen-Yo Lu

11:03 pm in Accessories, Bathroom, Bathroom Design & Furniture, Faucets by Tanya

Sometimes there is beauty in simplicity and the Balena Bathroom Faucet communicates this design philosophy beautifully. Designer Wen-Yo Lu opts for materials like metal and tinted green transparent plastic to draw attention to the water valves and how they work in tandem with each other. The Balena also has a very intergalactic vibe to it but maybe thats just the sci-fi nut in me talking.

Plus Wash Station Conserves Water

2:26 am in Bathroom, Bathroom Design & Furniture, Sinks by Tanya

The Plus Wash Station has the prestigious Green Dot Award to its name and with good reason. An ideal amalgamation of function and form, the wash station by Bora Cakilkaya/P-ARCH is quite a thought-provoking design by being a fantastic assemblage of design, human thought process and technology. The system seeks to conserve water by storing the used water in its reservoir which then in turn gets treated to be used as drain water.
