EOOS is well versed when it comes to interior design concepts and bringing them to reality. For A1 Mobilkom Austria's leading mobile phone provider the creation was a combination of technology, innovative thinking, and cutting edge aesthetics. When entering the customer passes through a "fog facade" that produces various scenarios of transcendence according to the time of day. Once inside the store, people stroll among LCD tables. Each customer receives a "ghost mobile" crystalline body to represent a mobile phone. By just placing it on various surfaces visitors can make purchases by loading the real and virtual products into the transparent object - and pick up their items at the checkout counter. A "future ramp" where "future cubes" displaying upcoming products as holographs takes customers to a metallic wing from which they approach the monolithic white bar and lounge area. See more from EOOS here.

Remodeling in Chicago is quite common for families wishing to update an urban space due to the age of many properties in town. These photos show an apartment located in the old Montgomery Ward headquarters. This property has great views of the John Hancock Center and the surrounding skyline. The apartment is an L-shape allowing for many unique spaces to be created. The owner’s wishes were to create a living space for the family and a public art gallery all in one space. As an owner of an art gallery it makes sense to make the home inviting to VIP clients that need a more intimate setting than the art gallery alone. The architects on the project were Wheeler Kearns. More of their work can be found here.

When you think of a mobile home, what comes to mind? Likely, you think of a home in a trailer park that might be single or double-wide trailer. Architect Gerold Peham challenges that predisposition through his project called “NomadHome”. This is a modern modular housing product that is designed for people who move around. The prefab housing is built in Austria and can be transported by truck to its final destination. Construction can be finalized in 2-3 days once at the job site. Now the amazing thing to me is how awesome this mobile home is. The amenities inside look like what you would find inside a beautiful house. You can learn more about NomadHome: HERE.

“Aero” is a desk created by designer, Paul Gribincea. When examining the shape of Areo, it follows more closely an architectural shape than that of traditional desk design. The angles do not conform to the 90 degree angles of most desk construction. Further, its simple shape doesn’t conform to the principle of providing lots of storage for files and supplies. More information: here.

This beach front villa in the British Virgin Islands is a welcome site during the colder months. Known for its pristine blue water, the islands remain a hotspot for tourists and those well to do enough to own property on the islands. This villa is on Beef Island on a 1.89 acre plot. The house is located west of the airport on the north side of the island with views of Little and Great Camanoe Islands. The house has 5 bedrooms and 3 ½ bathrooms. The pictures show the wonderful view and location of the property. One drawback is that old sectional sofa that certainly needs replacing. Be sure and take a look at another Virgin Islands dream home that was covered earlier at Furniture Fashion. Via.

These home pictures highlight a property designed by Balance Associates of Seattle. The home is a 1,400 square foot mountain cabin located in central Washington State. This part of the state receives quite a bit of snowfall and thus, the cabin plans include a sloping roof to reduce snow accumulation and assist in snow melt. The cabin design consists of two concrete walls that form terraces. The first terrace contains a kitchen, living room, and dining room. Up the stairs in the second terrace there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. Each room is designed with a door that can be opened to the outside when the weather allows. Though there is only 1,400 square feet, the architects did a great job in creating a livable space for a family. Via.

These house pictures showcase the work of Kanner Architects on the “511 House” in Pacific Palisades, California. The home measures 3,500 square feet and has two stories. A theme in the house plans was to blur the lines between indoor and outdoor. The first floor is nearly all lit by natural sunlight with windows and sliding glass doors everywhere. The main house areas such as the living room, kitchen and dining room are all on this floor. The sliding glass doors can be pulled back to allow the natural breeze to come in turning the floor into a near patio due to all the sunlight. Inspiration for the home was drawn from Richard Neutra and Ray Eames. The home furnishings show a lot of Eames’ influence. Via.

I thought I would take a quick diversion from the norm here and give our readers a look at a wonderful villa on the Lycian Coast of Turkey. This stretch of coastline is often referred to as the “pirate coast” thanks to the many coves and small islands where the numerous sea raiders would take refuge. I hope you enjoy these wonderful shots and possibly the warmth these pool pictures may offer during this winter season.

These contemporary home pictures come from Belsize Architects and cover a new home constructed in the Heath Fringes Conservation Area in Highgate, London. The “Sheldon Avenue” project was constrained by a long and narrow plot of land. The home owners wanted seven bedrooms in a contemporary setting. Some of the more striking features in this residence are the high views created from the different floors of the home and how the color blue was worked into the swimming pool area. Via.
