6:52 pm in Modern Furniture & Design, Vases by Tanya

The potent combination luxury and style is what makes collections from the design house of Versace masterpieces. Taking center stage in all the recent furniture fair, the 2010 collection includes the armchair Vanitas in multicolor or in total black with mirrored golden seat and vases in hand blown glass which have been designed in collaboration Venini.

Applied Physics Kitchen Appliances By Acquacalda

12:27 am in Glass, Home Accessories, Home Appliances, Kitchen, Kitchen Appliances, Vases by Tanya

Who knew Physics could actually be fun? As you can guess I am not exactly a fan of the subject (sorry Newton) but the Applied Physics collection by Acquacalda has certainly piqued my interest. Featuring a range of home appliances that aim at not only adding aesthetic value but also providing utmost functionality. The collection is quite a winner and my favorites are:

One For All, All For One - Wine dispenser for table
Vasco - Container with water reserve.
Mix In Glass - Glass with dispenser for the preparation of cocktails
Communicating Vase - Vase for cut flowers that tells you the level of water inside.

Marcel Wanders Unveils Eden And Babel Series For xO

12:45 am in Chairs, Modern Furniture, Modern Furniture & Design, Stools, Tables, Vases, Wood by Tanya

As purveyors of the modern A&D scene, Marcel Wanders has always been one of our favorites. His recent collections once again proves why Wanders is a design force to reckon with. The "Eden" and "Babel" collections may have Biblical names but thats where the religious connotations end. Developed in conjunction with the French Furniture company xO, the former is a series of vases, tables and stools while the latter a collection of chairs. For Babel, Wanders had worked with materials like wood, plastic, acrylic and for Eden he has favored glass and ceramic.
