A deserving winner of the 2011 red dot design concept award, the X Plus table was conceived as a functional sculpture for contemporary living spaces. To achieve the shape, three triangular areas are cut from a single sheet of stainless steel, the sheet is bent into form and the two end points are welded together. The result is a modular object composed of two X shapes that works independently or arranged in a series. In a variety of hues and finishes, the table is adaptable to almost any motif.

Dock is the result of designer Alexandre Pain’s reflection on the themes of simplicity and lightness. The stripped-down side table avoids glue, screws, and dowels and instead uses elastic bands and tension to fix the legs to the body. The unconventional construction not only cuts back on hardware costs but also means that assembly and disassembly can be repeated without compromising quality.

Invisible City’s premier collection of handmade furniture, Incunabular, begins with this interesting tripodal side table that designer Simon Moorhouse describes as having “irreducible simplicity.” The collection is handmade in southeast England and blends traditional craftsmanship with innovative modern design presented in high quality and sustainably sourced walnut, ash, or oak.

I’m sure there are many people out there living alone or with one or two other people that don’t need a huge, huge dining table, yet they need the option for one when entertaining. Isn’t that what leaves are for? Are those table inserts still even called leaves? Or a leaf? Ah, whatever!
The point of the matter is that this adorable little TAble is actually two TAbles in one. Perfect for small spaces and those that only require a small table for everyday use, the TAble has a way more stylish and more modern way to extend itself than with those wooden leaf extension things. I love it!

The latest from designer Marc Th. van der Voorn, the Branch table combines solid European oak and steel to create a subtle visual illusion that will stand out as the centerpiece of any dining room. Supported by matte-black steel rods, the thick tabletop appears to float effortlessly above the legs. A bit rustic and a touch modern- there’s no denying the craftsmanship here.

Only kidding! But seriously, the minimal Chiuet table’s über-thin surface is supported by an equally lanky 3-legged base that, from some angles, is so thin that you might wonder if it has disappeared altogether! Not to worry though, unlike some celebrity starlets, the solid steel Chiuet is as strong as it is skinny.

The amazing Warmpath will fit aptly in any Scandinavian home. The flowing white Corian surfaced table married to the fireplace…they both look so warm and cozy together! How long will this marriage last? Don’t know, but let’s enjoy it till it’s warm….
