NES Coffee Table Is a Piece of Art You Don’t Need

6:40 am in Coffee Tables, Coffee, End & Side Tables, Design, Furniture, Side Tables by chris

A little while ago we've shown you a PS3 controller coffee table that was made by a highschool student as a school project. Today we have another similar tablet, a gaming-based design that will bring a huge NES Coffee Table in your living room. The NES Coffee Table even comes with a controller hidden in the opening lid, just like the real thing. But the coffee table itself feels just a little too chuncky for my taste so getting such a design might not be such a good idea especially if you and your friends aren't really into retro gaming. The NEC Coffee Table is however a spectacular design, I'll give you that, so if you are a former hardcore NES gamer, then this home project might just be the thing for you. Via Flickr

The Esme Rosso Red Pedestal Table which can be purchased from Crate&Barrel finds a balance between traditional and contemporary aesthetics. The table features a 30-inch top with Tanganyika walnut veneer and a classic footed urn base of solid poplar and beechwood. Made in Italy, the "rosso" or red table reinterprets the traditional pedestal table with great panache.

Lighted Patio Umbrella Is Great For Outdoor Parties

12:01 am in Dining Table, Led, Lighting Fixture, Outdoor Furniture, Patio, Patio & Outdoor Furniture, Side Tables, Tables by Tanya

Now that summers are here, chances are you are already planning some great outdoor sojourns that would guarantee laughter, good food, great wine and stumbling in the dark. Many of us are victims of poor outdoor lighting and I have lost count on how many times I dropped something on my dress all tripped because of insufficient lighting. The "Lighted Patio Umbrella" takes care of this problem beautifully as it consists of a very modish umbrella that has been equipped with a discreet LED system. Developed by Punt Mobles, the Po'light umbrella is water-proof and consists of two round tables. At least now you can actually see what hors d' oeuvres your putting in your mouth.
