This modular shelving unit by Sam Holmes focuses on the use of a simplified metal connector to combine equally sized planks together to form it’s honeycomb compartments. The finished product is a geometrically efficient structure that uses the least amount of material possible to create a lattice of hexagonal cells that can be modified for the perfect fit within a space. Mmm, I’m suddenly hungry for honeycomb cereal.

I have always wanted to put my favorite books on display, hoping someone else would see and enjoy them, but I have struggled with finding a solution that doesn’t look too deliberate… until now. The Piastra is a wall mounted book shelf that brings home the functional simplicity of the magazine rack to create an all-around dynamic interior object that allows quick and intuitive access to reading.

Take a peek at this neato shelving arrangement. It’s made entirely out of wood, it looks totally nice, and it’s called “Dado.” Marc Haldermann of Dear Bird Design Products has taken the idea of modularity in shelving units and chopped it down to its essential elements, making a selection of box shelves and C-shelves fit precisely in a set of bigger boxes. How super neat! Then, to differentiate from the IKEA shelves (the ones I personally have in my living room), he added a bit of a stand below the whole construct.

My mind instantly conjures up the song "Somewhere over the rainbow" when I look at the L'Arco Della Pace Bookshelf. This visually stunning bookshelf catches the eye and captures the heart thanks to the charming rainbow hues. Built by Martino Gampe, the L'Arco has its roots in history since the architectural elements are no coincidence and seeks to replicate the Arco della Pace which is part of the Piazza Sempione in Milan. Measuring 124" h x 87" w, the bookshelf is constructed of vibrantly colored veneered poplar plywood segments which makes it the anti-thesis of the usually traditional shelves.

The Exhibi-Table is not exactly a home office table; in fact it's not exactly a table for your home but rather for your business, in case your business is selling books and magazines. The table has its own storage shelves embedded right in it and that area can be used to display all the books and magazines you're trying to pitch to your customers. Besides showing various titles to your audience the Exhibi-Table can act as a regular table too, and, if you insist, you could get one for home too, although you'd have little-to-no use for it on most days.
