Charly Molinelli describes his Bangulella chair as “just another rocking chair,” but clearly it’s anything but! Reminiscent of Arne Jacobsen’s famous Egg chair, the Bangulella is a high-concept redesign that brings a touch of retro-futurism to the modern rocker.

The Danish Living series of furniture by addinterior merges modern design and traditional craftsmanship into unique individual pieces. I’m especially liking the coat rack- a minimal design consisting of just 6 ash wood poles held together by a solid aluminum ring. Capable of complimenting a variety of tastes and styles, each element will look great alone or as a cohesive collection.

The Surf-ace series of benches and tables translates the visual language, beauty and purity of the classic balsa wood surfboard into functional, made-to-order furniture that’s hand made with the finest craftsmanship. It’s the perfect compliment to spaces with a beachy vibe. If you can afford ocean front property, you won’t think twice about the slightly hefty price tag.

Street artist turned industrial designer, Geert Decock’s latest work is this incredible chair that finds a delicate balance between form and function. Bent from a single sheet of aluminum, the Backbone chair is supported by a single tube located where the seat and backrest meet, providing it with not only added security, but a nice bounce when you sit down!

The limited edition Prejudice furniture collection features a nested seat and footrest combination that is as functionally versatile as it is eco-friendly. Made of 100% recycled cardboard and produced through a sustainable production process, the series is a creative way of raising awareness of the importance of sustainable growth and recycling while also smashing the stigmas associated with cardboard.

As you might infer from the name, the Batwings chair takes inspiration from the flying bat, adapting the form of its webbed wings to a seating solution that is as feral as it is gothic. Taking from the physics of the bat’s skeletal system, the internal structure provides natural support and also adds to the wild animal feel.

Wildetect’s Mantis Chair takes inspiration from the African wilderness, adopting the form of one of its iconic creatures, the giant praying mantis. Admittedly, a certain level of comfort was sacrificed in the design, but its wild, sculptural aesthetic ensures it to be the primary focal point of any room.

The simple, yet striking Ariva furniture series is an example of neoplasticism in its purest form. Each piece avoids symmetry and attains aesthetic balance by the use of opposition. The designs play with the geometry of the straight line, square and rectangle combined with strong asymmetricality to skew the viewer’s perception. From the side, each piece is slender and skeletal, but from the front appears thick and robust. In pure white, the series is as refined as it is peculiar.
