Work spaces can be mind-numbingly dull (unless you are working at Google) but there is not much one can do about. However the smart folks over at the Media Computing Group seem to revolutionize the workspace with their incredible BendDesk. The BendDesk is actually a cool multitouch workspace which features a full fledged display that is able to work its magic with the help of two projectors, 3 cameras, and ultra bright IR lights. The multi-touch curved display of the BendDesk is not really about functionality but creativity and I think will be appreciated by those who work in the multi-media continuum or any other creative field.
Design studio Kinzo has a penchant for streamlined aesthetics and forms that borrow heavily from jet fighters and airplanes. Hence its no coincidence that their critically acclaimed Kinzo Air Cabin follows in the same vein. Characterized by a scuplturalistic silhouette, a futuristic functionality and almost abstract aesthetics, the Air Cabin is a testament to modern day engineering and highlights intelligent design. The spacious file storage system can hold up to 90 files and comes equipped with flush-mounted sliding doors and a niftily designed lift and slide mechanism. The unusual asymmetrical form factor may be too much for the traditionalists, but there is no denying that the Kinzo Air is an extremely well-designed work cabinet that has been styled with a rare contemporary chutzpah.
"Kinzo Air is an office furniture programme with a resolutely futuristic design approach," said Karim El-Ishmawi, Kinzo designer. "Every piece of furniture has a distinctive sculptural and architectural quality - functionality does not need to rhyme with blandness. Supersized cable ducts, steal skids instead of table legs and many other details make office work easier and more inspirational. Our filing cabinet is a logical addition to the programme.

The Modular Workstation featured in the pictures below is an interesting design of an office desk. Besides being very pleasant to the eye, this Workstation hides plenty of other uses and it's very easy to manage. Depending on your needs, the Modular Workstation can act as a regular home office but can be turned into a simple table too. Not to mention all the storage space it can offer thanks to the included shelves, plain supports, document holder or writing utensil caddy. It can even be a solution for small businesses as it can turn crowded offices into more pleasant working areas for their employees. The Modular Workstation is a Sean Cathey design but we have no pricing details for you at this time. Via Coroflot.
At least once in a while every one of us has to bring some work at home and that's when an office space would come in handy. But not all homes have enough retail estate to accommodate a real office, which means you'll have to adapt and make the most of your actual living space. That's where the Work Unit comes in place and, in case you'll be working at home more than once, you'll want to get it yourself. The Work Unit is comprised of a desk, a storage cabinet, a monitor screen and a light source. Once you pin them up on a wall of your choosing you'll be able to go about your business straight from the coziness of your own home. Would you buy the Work Unit if it were available in stores now?
