New Furniture Design from Lerny Woo

6:57 pm in Furniture, Furniture Design, Home, House, Italian, Modern, Modern Furniture & Design, New by John

Lerny Woo is a young designer living in Toulouse, France who has provided us with a new furniture design called "Venice". The design is a chair that strikes me as a day bed as well which would be great to spend a lazy day enjoying oneself in their home. Construction of Venice consists of composite material with Galuchat leather. Lerny is in the process of developing a website so look to hear more about that in the future.

The Interesting CD Wall by Coens

5:46 pm in Art, Cool, Design, Home Storage & Shelving, Interesting, Music, New, Storage, Wall Decorating by John

When do CDs become obsolete and need to serve some other purpose? Coens has championed that thought in their "CD Wall" which melds CD storage into a design idea. Each leave can be installed on a wall and then fanned like a book to allow you to get to the next page of CDs. The CD Wall makes a statement about music storage and what we may see in the future. New Ultra Contemporary Furniture by Karim Rashid

5:00 pm in Decorating, Design, Furniture, New, Sofa, Sofas by John

Known for his ultra contemporary furniture, Karim Rashid is now designing for Soft Line where he created this sofa called "Pierce". At first glance the backrest almost looks to be detached from the seating area. Though it appears to be scarcely attached in truth it creates a unique contemporary visual by not being burdened by typical furniture design principles. More information: here.

Cool Restaurant Design By Jan Schreiner

5:00 pm in Architecture, Color, Colors, Cool, Decorating, Design, General, New, Pink by John

By nature a new restaurant has to be hip and trendy to take us away from our favorite eateries and take our business to a new place. "Restaurant Et Cetera" is a new project created by designer Jan Schreiner. In the images provided by Jan, we can see an incredible use of colors that really create some "pop". The use of pinks blended with darker background colors create an environment that is light and intimate at the same time. Without the brighter colors, the place would be a dark room not for the trendy, but for those that want to "not be seen". More information: Jan Schreiner.

New Faucet Fixtures that Boggle the Mind

5:00 am in Bathroom, Bathroom Design & Furniture, Faucets, Home, House, New, Sink by John

Coming up with new faucet fixtures is challenging due to the simple engineering behind a faucet and how that can limit designers. Regimantas Vegele is a Lithuanian designer who created this new product called “Pebble”. The inspiration came from a stone in a river which over time gets worn down due to erosion and becomes a flat and smooth surface. More information: here. Via.
