Sicis Next Art Furniture Collection By Carla Tolomeo

12:11 am in Chairs, Modern Furniture, Modern Furniture & Design by Tanya

The Sicis Next Art Furniture Collection is part flamboyant, part decadent and a whole lot outrageous. Not for the faint-hearted this ostentatious collection has been designed by Carla Tolomeo who isn't scared to experiment or to create a fantasy world. The baroque styled limited-edition collection of chairs and settees has been embedded with Sicis mosaic and each piece in this dazzling series boasts of the highest craftsmanship and that too Italian. The Sicis Next Art Collection pays homage to the wonders of nature like a blooming rose or a butterfly and almost surreptitiously transports you to a surreal exotic sublime world.

Diplodocus Clothes Rack: Is That a Dinosaur Hiding In Your Closet?

9:34 am in Closet, Closet Organizers, Clothes, Design, Furniture, Modern Design, Modern Furniture & Design by chris

The Diplodocus Clothes Rack is an out-of-the-box idea for designing a piece of furniture we usually take for granted and don't pay that much attention to, the closet, or at least part of it. The Diplodocus Clothes Rack comes in various shapes that will probably fit with most closets and, most importantly, that will fit with your various coats no matter how long they are. The Diplodocus racks are made of stainless steel and they have an electropolished durable surface, which is scratch-, wear- and corrosion-resistant and very easy to clean. The Diplodocus rack series has four different models, two mountable and two freestanding and they'll certainly play nice with any closet or room. Are you ready to hide a dinosaur in your closet? Doorknob-Free Doors Still Open and Close Regularly

8:08 am in Doors, Modern Design, Modern Furniture, Modern Furniture & Design by chris

This is the last thing you'd want to change, but what if your doors had no doorknobs? Would you still be able to open and close them? There would have to be a way to push and pull the door and also keep it looked for most of the day, so how would you manage to do all that without doorknobs? Well it seems that Albed has found a way to make some doorknob-free doors that do away with that particular door element. As you can see in the designs below, the knob is out of the pictures, or, in most cases, reinvented or embedded within the door itself. Some of the models below are actually available to order in case you want to replace your current door with something a little more modern. Via Albed

The Fossa sofa also happens to be a lounger, a bed or a corner sectional depending on your wishes. We're actually looking at a modular couch that can be rearranged whenever you feel like going for a new sofa design. The Fossa, although not the only modular sofa out there, is definitely unique and could be very well considered for all sorts of interior design ideas. The sofa is also a great addition to small homes too as it can also act as an improvised bed since all of its cushions can be rearranged in any way you see fit. Therefore the Fossa could act as a comfortable bed at night and then as a full-sized sofa during the rest of the day. Via COR
