While spending Thanksgiving in London, I immediately visited Harrod’s upon arrival, which I told you yesterday is one of my favorite places in this world!

One of the main reasons I wanted to visit Harrod’s on this trip was to take a look at their Inspiring Morocco display on the fourth floor. (I apologize for the poor quality iPhone photos above, but for better views you can check out the display here.) The complete transformation made in the store was incredible; there was no detail of the area that wasn’t covered. In addition to the beautiful display, there was also Moroccan food and produce available in the Food Hall and a Moroccan tea room to test their traditional tea and sweets.

If you’re in London or planning a trip in the next few weeks, Inspiring Morocco is on display until December 18th. Will you be checking it out or have you already??

Brits will be familiar with the iconic Smithfield market which is famous for raw meat! So it comes as a bit of surprise that something as drab as a wholesale market can act as a source of inspiration. But then again, God and designers work in mysterious ways! Jokes apart, we simply love the Smithfield Lamp designed by Jasper Morrison for Flos. The lamp borrows heavily from industrial techniques and is Morrison's take on something as mundane as a metal lamp shade that is usually found in the meat packing district. The Smithfield Lamp available in painted glossy black or white and will be exhibited at the Milan Design Fair.

This is one sizable piece of real estate in London which features a basement and two floors. The property is located on Swains Lane in Highgate and is offered by "The Modern House". The basement has a home theater perfectly designed since an absence of natural light is most desired in home theater design. These contemporary home pictures come from Belsize Architects and cover a new home constructed in the Heath Fringes Conservation Area in Highgate, London. The “Sheldon Avenue” project was constrained by a long and narrow plot of land. The home owners wanted seven bedrooms in a contemporary setting. Some of the more striking features in this residence are the high views created from the different floors of the home and how the color blue was worked into the swimming pool area. Via.
