Green seems to be everywhere right now in the decorating world so you may find yourself wondering if this is the new color for spring this year or is this color choice simply being influenced by the arrival of St. Patrick’s Day? If you want to keep up on the latest trends in the interior of your home without making a drastic change and falling into the here today gone tomorrow category, simply add a few accessories.
Face it, green is hot right now but an entire redo of your living room is not absolutely necessary. Simply adding in a few accessories like a modern table lamp or a few decorative pillows is all that you really need. This is also the perfect way to add a bit of glam to a black or neutral room.
A modern lamp like the one featured in the picture by Viko will help you keep up with the color of the moment and then when you are bored with it, you can put it in the nursery, office or store it away until next St. Patrick’s Day. If you are not keen on green, Viko makes their hollow wood lamp in red, blue and orange as well! You can find this modern accent at Home Decorators Collection.

There’s nothing fake about the Fabricate lamps.
A self-assembly pendant light, the Fabricate is a unique pendant lamp. It arrives in a flat package that includes the outer cloth, a spiral wire frame and the electrical light fitting. The cloth is available in many different colors and can be twisted and straightened in whichever way you desire.

The fabric of the Fabricate can be sewn with several cloth pockets to create a connected light fixture with one, two or three lights attached, as three are seen together in the image above.
Fabricate lights are designed by the Studio Henry van Nistelrooy, a London based product designer.

Statuary Warning: Not suitable for individuals that are on a diet!
Quirky yet thoughtful items always makes for the perfect gift and the Marmeled Jelly Lamps seem to fit this criteria. Don't fooled by the jars as the Marmeled Jelly Lamps are not edible and are to be strictly used as lighting objects. The jars light up due it the immersion of high-luminosity LED in the shiny gel and one has to just turn the jar upside-down and place it on the metal lid to switch on the lamp. The Marmeled Jelly Lamps are available in a plethora of colors and can be ordered online from here.

The DSNL is not some sort of brand new type of faster Internet connection. It is instead a concept that combines two devices you could use around the house: a day shade and a night light. That's what DSNL stands for actually: day shade and night light. As you can see in the images below the DSNL acts as a Day Shade during the day and while shading you from the sun it also harvests the sun's energy thanks to those solar panels on top. Then, at night it becomes a Night Light that will use the energy stored during the day to shed light on your late-night work-related activities, and not only. The DSNL uses OLEDs to offer you that precious, eco-friendly light so each solar charge could last for quite a while. Are you already thinking about ordering a DSNL for yourself? Via Yanko Design

The almost sublime Alabaster Lamp Series redefines lighting equipment thanks to its design fluidity and impenitent style. Conceptualized by Cabelliluce, the translucency in the lamps is what draws you in instantly and the alabaster natural material highlights the almost surreal veins and patterns that seem to run endlessly throughout the lamps. The series is available in a number of iterations from table lamps, to floor lamps to pendant lamps and each avatar resonates with individuality that leans one to an hypnotic introspective. The Italian Alabaster Lamp Series is a great example of how experimentation can lead to a flawless singular design thought.

The Favorite Things Lamp is not just a simple lighting solution, but you probably guessed that already since we're featuring it here. The Favorite Things Lamp also comes with a storage/display area in which you could squeeze various objects or decorations. That way you'd share with everyone in your home more than light; a piece of your personality. The display case is 17.7-inch in diameter so there's plenty of room inside it for all sorts of objects. Hopefully your lucky charms or Christmas decorations won't melt once inside the Favorite Things Lamp, although you could make sure to use a LED light with it instead of a regular incandescent bulb. It's too late to get this freaky, scary, surreal Skull Lamp for this year's Halloween but you can always buy it or make it yourself, if you got the skills, for next year's Halloween edition. The Lamps are created using a cast of a skull so they are pretty real, hence the scary part, and can be hanged around your house, the porch, and left around your entrance door. But make sure you don't scare your visitors too much, since instead trick or treating they might be TP-ing your home, which is definitely not the outcome you'd want from your Halloweens. And by the way, since you're probably getting ready for your local Halloween party, have a great time, with or without any Skull Lamps! Via Alex Garnett

Satiate your bubbly cravings without putting on the calories! The intoxicatingly (pardon the pun) designed Mood Change Crystal Lamps from Moise pays homage to the good old champagne glass making them the ultimate name in luxury and style. The sparkling lamps are a result of a giant champagne glass with state-of-the-art LED technology, making the upmarket lamps very uber chic and glamourous. Perfect for bars, luxurious homes and restaurants, these lamps produce a surrealistic imagery thanks to the captivating interplay of light and crystal. Handcrafted in Europe, the lamps sparkle due to diamond chatons fitted inside the champagne glass.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that Kaspa, the Eco-Friendly Ghost light seeks inspiration from everyone's favorite spirt, Casper. But Ilsa Parry, the winner of Phillipe Starck's Design for Life reality TV show may not like to admit this. However whatever the source of inspiration for Kaspa is, one cannot deny its appeal to children especially during Halloween. Kaspa is actually a nightlight for children though I am not sure if kids would actually want a ghost shaped light flickering in the dark. However since Kaspa conserves energy, Parry hopes to educate children about alternative energy sources since the light can glow up to an hour without an electricity usage. You can purchase Kaspa in any of its avatars from here.
