Glass Pavilion House Relies on the Forest to Guard Privacy

10:31 pm in Architecture, Glass, House by chris

The house in the images below is simply amazing! Your Called the Glass Pavilion and worth $35 million, this house will surprise you with its daring design. All the exterior walls are actually made out of glass, which means that everything going on inside is visible from outside. And since the Glass Pavilion has five bedrooms, a kitchen, a wine room and an art gallery for cars, you could say that there's a lot to see from outside. Luckily for the owners, the property is surrounded by trees and nature will keep your daily actions as private as possible from neighbors' eyes. ss Would you be willing to live in a glass house like this terrific Glass Pavilion? Walking Table Will Always Follow You Around the House

10:16 pm in Coffee, End & Side Tables, Design, Dining Room Furniture, House, Living Room, Table by chris

Those of you that happen to organize plenty of dinner parties with friends and family are probably used to changing the décor of your living room a lot in order to make sure your dinner table can accommodate all guests. But moving furniture around, even if only just a table can be very annoying. That's why the Walking Table will become your best friend instantly. You won't have to lift it and carry it around the house as the Walking Table follows you around thanks to those four pairs of legs that move individually. Just slightly push the table as you see in the video after the break and the table will move for you. While this is one of the most interesting tables I've seen, I'd still make sure it won't scratch my floor while walking around the house. Via Wouter Scheublin

The Safe House: Beast on the Outside, Beauty Inside

10:13 pm in Architecture, Concept, House, House Plans, Houses by chris

The Safe House below looks like a modern fort and it definitely doesn't excite the eye, at least not at first. But once you pass through those concrete gates and enter the actual Safe House, you'll be surprised by its inner beauty. And it's not a cheap cliché either but a marvelous architectural idea. The "Beast" looks simple on the outside, but it's on the inside where the architect really shows talent. The Safe House looks like an actual two-story safe as it has plenty of moveable components that will isolate you from whatever is happening in the world. Once you open those doors and windows, light comes in and we get to see everything. Would you go for such a secure mansion? Via kwk promes

A-Cero Modular House Looks Boring But It Really Isn’t

9:25 am in Architecture, House, House Plans, Houses, Spain by chris

Looking at it from the outside, you're probably not going to fall in love with the Modular House in the images below. But once you step right inside, at least virtually, you'll completely change your mind. The Modular House has been designed by the team of architects at A-Cero and can be found in Coruna, Spain. The combination of glass and aluminum panels on the outside make it look like a warehouse from certain angles. But this 106-m2 Modular House will offer you three bedrooms, two baths, a hall, a dining room, a laundry room and a kitchen. And the interior will definitely surprise you with the simple and very modern furniture design. Just after the break you'll find additional images, and the ones shot in the evening are my personal favorites. What do you think? Via A-Cero

Fish House Built on Water Takes Eco-friendliness to the Max

8:47 am in Architecture, Design, Eco Friendly, House, Pool by chris

If you love water and nature in general then you'll love the Fish House in the pictures below. Designed by Guz Architects in Singapore, this spacious house seems to be built on water and it's definitely fun to live in. Besides the impressive pool that seems to endlessly revolve around the Fish House, you also have a spectacular view of the ocean that's just outside. Moving on we find a great interior dominated by wood finishing and plenty of natural light that comes in through those impressive windows. And yes, that's a green patch of grass on top of the Fish House that will let you enjoy some time outdoors without actually leaving this ingeniously designed house. So if you live in Singapore and you're looking for a great house idea then I think this Fish House on the beach is just what the doctor ordered. Via Guz Architects

House of Concrete

8:41 pm in House, Modern, SixDW: A New Beginning by SixDifferentWays

He can huff and he can puff as much as he wants, but the big bad wolf definitely won’t be able to blow down a house of concrete.

Designed by Spanish architect group A-cero, the Concrete House II is located just outside of Madrid. The outside walls are made of dark gray concrete and built with strips of grass between them to create the illusion that the house is actually part of land. With an indoor spa and swimming pool, home theater, wine room and parking garage, the Concrete House II is a luxurious retreat. Even some of the modern decor and furniture appears to be made from concrete!

A-cero’s blog tells us that the Concrete House II is a single story home that measures at 1600 square meters, which is about 17,222 square feet. Imagine living in a space that big. It would be great for a good ol’ game of hide-and-seek…

So what do you think – would you live in the Concrete House II?

Luxury Spa Shower with Aromatherapy and Chromotherapy

5:00 pm in Health Wellness & Home Gym, Home, House, Luxury, Showers by John

The MultiSensis luxury spa shower brings the health club to home all in one nice package. The shower is made by Sanindusa and includes aromatherapy and chromotherapy. One of the things I like is the choices of different jets. There is virtually a water stream ranging from rain shower to hydro-massage which provides different options depending of the preference of the person. This makes the spa shower more flexible and able to meet the different needs of family members. More information: here.

After a hard day's work a nice sit in a home sauna can do wonders for detoxifying the body from impurities and the pressures of work. Having one of these in one's house is a luxury, but can really beat racing to the gym or health spa. This unit comes from Fitness Superstore and has a smaller footprint. More information: here.
