DIY Soap

3:45 pm in Eco Friendly, Green, Home, Kitchen by Radhika-Seth

For a moment just forget the device presented here and the technicalities for working it. Focus on the idea; Re-Q is an eco-friendly soap maker that recycles domestic wastewater and the last wedges of used soap to make you a brand new soap bar! Essentially it is a brilliant idea! In a three-step process, the machine purifies greywater, mixes it with soap bits and then processes the mixture into new soap cakes! How radical is that!

jufuku

Created by Kenyon Yeh, the Jufuku Bamboo Collection consists of a table, stool and cabinet. Each piece is made from sustainable, lightweight bamboo.

As Jufuku means to overlap or repeat in Japanese, Kenyon Yeh used a single shape to begin each piece. He then repeated that single shape to complete each design and create an end result.  By looking at each piece in the collection, the repeating shape in each is easily identifiable.

Aquabox Bath System Recycles All That Bathroom Water

12:56 am in Bathroom, Bathroom Design & Furniture, Concept, Design, Eco Friendly, Modern Design, Recycling, Sink by chris

A few days ago we've seen an interesting bathroom shower concept meant to help us recycle unused water and today we have a similar eco-friendly bathroom design that's supposed to recycle all that bathroom water you use in your bathroom. The Aquabox bath system is actually a complex bath unit that will help you recycle and purify the water you use during your showers or while you wash your hands. The "wasted" water gets purified and then stored into an 80-liter tank and you can further use the same water to flush your toilet and even water your flowers. The design is definitely interesting and some sort of Aquabox bath system could be included in more and more bathrooms in the near future. Any early adopters ready to try the Aquabox? The Hermit Crab Chair Brings Recycled Tires to Your Home

10:42 pm in Chairs & Bar Stools, Concept, Eco Friendly, Modern Design, Modern Furniture by chris

Those of you that want to bring even more eco-friendliness living to your home should consider melting a few old tires into a comfy and very modern-looking Hermit Crab Chair. Well you wouldn't do the melting yourself as designer Joseph Kin seems to have a way of doing that for you. The Hermit Crab Chairs in the images below are made of used tires and ceramic and they sure look pretty comfortable. The old tire offers plenty of elastic support as it makes up for the legs of this Hermit Crab Chair while the ceramic brings ergonomics to the whole design. Anyone ready to order these outstanding eco-friendly Hermit Crab Chairs yet? Via Yanko Design
