Seldom does modular storage system evoke a sense of design exhilaration but the "Capillair" is definitely an exception. Made from something as innocuous as rubber and felt, the adaptable storage system certainly doesn't shy from making a style statement. The sense of drama it exudes along with the flexibility it offers makes this a complete winner in our books. Kudos to designer Carolijn Slottje for crafting this beautiful unit and making use of the cell-like components so innovatively.

The soft organic shape of the Cowry Sofa from designer Danilo Cvjetkovic of Canada took inspiration from the Cowry Sea Shell. Serbian born Cvjetkovic has been working in the fields of architectural, interior, and furniture design projects for over 25 years which led him to industrial design and prototyping. This modular furniture is aptly named "Orbit" as the word refers to space which is the final frontier. In this case it refers to space planning which goes to the core purpose of modular furniture. I really like these pieces as I could envision them in a home or a public seating area. The benches are so simple and yet would make a welcome addition to filling up space in a hallway in a house or in a corner of a living room. Since 1964 Seletti of Italy has focused on innovative and design oriented household products that also include a serious dose of creativity.
