Alexandra von Furstenberg may have a famous ex mother-in-law ( Diane von Furstenberg ) but that hasn't stopped the designer from really coming into her own. Famous for having a penchant for lucite and playing with the realms of fashion and design, her new Bullet Coffee Table is infused with a rare dark energy as it seems to resemble a bullet inspired coffin! But maybe its my own morbid imagination that is seeing a resemblance with a coffin since the designer is aiming for something completely different. Von Furstenberg's Bullet is constructed of 18 clear acrylic panels which are precariously joint at each of the 18 junction to give an illusion of a life size diamond. Alexandra von Furstenberg's designs are not everyone's cup of tea but there is no denying that the designer shows flashes of genius when it comes to mixing fashion, fantasy and furniture.

The Jet Table highlights Brazilian architect Guilherme Torres penchant for intelligent design and modern engineering. Inspired by the futuristic cartoon The Jetsons and something as trivial as plastering float, the streamlined table takes centre stage thanks to its punctilious aesthetics and unconventional form factor. Made of MDF boards and available in five different iterations, the table is finished in pulsating colors. The Jet table is in total accordance to the international sustainability standards and all waste generated during the manufacturing process was sent for recycling.

No matter how old you are you must have surely played at least a game of pinball. The computer Pinball versions also count but they come without the magic a real Pinball table has to offer. So why not capture that whole Pinball tablet into an actual coffee table? That's right, the coffee table in the picture below actually contains a former Pinball layout. Footprints in the sand always make for some lovely and poignant imagery, so it doesn't surprise us that designer Nicholas Langan decided to recreate the illusion in wood. Langan's Footprint Table may be an ode to Mary Stevenson's touching Footprints in the Sand poem or just the designers own desire to leave a mark in the A&D scene,whatever the motivation no one can deny its appeal. The table has been made from solid oak and is finished with oil and then using modern day technology, Langan indents the footprints around the top and the underside.

A little while ago we've shown you a PS3 controller coffee table that was made by a highschool student as a school project. Today we have another similar tablet, a gaming-based design that will bring a huge NES Coffee Table in your living room.
