The Clever Bathtub

9:25 pm in Bathroom by Radhika-Seth

Reinventing a bathtub is not an easy job and maybe this is why we see little innovations in this field. For a moment picture a bathtub with one side as an inflatable vinyl portion that collapse to provide you easy access. A powerful integrated pump not only inflates the tub but also doubles up as water propeller for the built in Jacuzzi fixtures. Use it as a tub or a walk-in shower; use it as the Inflatable Bathtub! Simply love this concept!

Top Two Taxies in Prague

7:53 pm in Uncategorized by Radhika-Seth

The historic city of Prague has many sights to take in, for example the Prague Castle, the picturesque Charles Bridge or the Astronomical Clock. During the Iron Curtain era, it was one of the most visited cities of Europe. Although reliant on a tram and metro system, one of the best modes for transport is the taxi. Based on this observation was a recent event called the Prague Taxi Design and two really outstanding entries are listed after the jump….

Taxi Visitor by Diego Garcia

Taxi Visitor is based on the premise that tourists driving into the city from the airport, like to enjoy a ride where they can take in the sights and sounds on the first go. The abundant spacing and height of the cab allow for a full view and cast and everlasting impression. The color schemes for the cab are inspired by the beige plaster of the Lesser Town houses and their darker retaining wall.

Call Taxi-e by Louis Joseph Böhm

The adaptable Call Taxi-e accommodates up to six passengers and can be used for cargo services as well. The design features sliding doors and a ramp for wheelchair. Expanded windows and an airy cabin ensure a pleasant ride. The wheel driven motors are powered by batteries that are fueled by solar cells hidden on the roof.

Davin Stowell says that “Great design begins and ends with a deep understanding of people’s innermost needs and desires with a responsibility to society.” We agree and we certainly look forward to some exceptional projects being presented right here on YD. Laser Levels Are Always Precise

6:17 pm in Concept by Radhika-Seth

Level+ is a level meter concept that uses cross laser lines to ensure precise straight beams that aid in civil work. As the designer explains, “after Level+ is attached to a horizontal plate (via the suction cup), the plummet places itself horizontal, automatically. The power revs up and the cross line laser can be adjusted to project horizontal and vertical lines.” So the next time you embark on hanging a picture on the wall, trust the Level+ to help you hang it straight!

Neons

12:08 am in Colors, Home Decor by Katie

My favorite kind of neons are the ones that are so bright they make your eyes hurt. There’s nothin’ like it.

Neons have been shown a lot lately – from home decor to clothing and accessories. Such bright colors just make everything a little bit more fun. Well, in my opinion at least!

What do you think of all these neons?
