Meet the Mitzy Lamp.

Available through Estiluz, a Spanish design company, the Mitzy Lamp was designed by King and Miranda Design. With a sleek nickel-finished base, the Mitzy Lamp has a unique lampshade. The lantern-shaped shade is made of polycarbonate and then covered with an elastic covering with a lattice design that has a mesh-like appearance.

The light shines through the Mitzy Lamp to create interesting patterns. Mitzy is available as a pendant lamp or table lamp in a variety of colors.

The Conmoto Gate Fireplace marries modern aesthetics with superior technology. Designed by Carsten Gollnick, the fireplace ups the ante with its understated form factor and smart design. Available from Encompass, the Conmoto Gate Fireplace has a 10kw heat output and features a combustion chamber which is suspended to float in the matt anthracite coated steel plate frame. The log burning stove includes a spacious chamber as well which comes in handy for storing the unused wooden logs. It is clear from the design proportions of the fireplace, that designer Carsten Gollnick wanted to make an artistic statement without sacrificing the Conmoto Gate's primordial properties.

Sony Internet TV With Google Announced

Sony yesterday announced its highly anticipated Internet TV. Unlike traditional HDTVs, the Sony Internet TV has built-in Google TV which translates into a seamless experience between the web and television. Equipped with Wi-Fi, the hdtv series lets one watch their favorite television shows, browse the internet and even give access to apps like Pandora, Netflix etc. Prices range from 600-$1,400 and vary according to screen sizes. The Sony Internet TV also comes with a very nifty feature called Dual View which lets one watch television while surfing the net or updating their social networking account. For an enhanced user experience, Sony has also thrown in support for apps from the Android Market and has included a QWERTY keypad remote with integrated optical mouse. The Sony Internet TV is definitely on my Christmas list, what about you?

Pretzel Rattan Bench Accommodates As Many Guests As Needed

The Pretzel Bench will not offer support for an infinite number of guests, but it will certainly be very useful during those outdoors parties you happen to throw every now and then. The Pretzel Bench is made from rattan, which happens to be found in abundance in Indonesia. No wonder that an Indonesian designer created the Pretzel Bench! But that doesn't mean you won't be able to make it yourself or order it in any other region of the world. The rattan, basically the stem of a palm tree, is pretty elastic as it can bend and stretch and then return to its initial shape without sustaining any damage. And if the Pretzel Bench would break you could easily replace it with a new one quite easily. All you need is some extra rattan around the house! Via Coroflot

Jean Paul Gaultier’s Couture Furniture For Roche Bobois

Fashion, furniture and furnishings are not mutually exclusive to each other since designers creative juices are not just limited to the runaway. French fashion icon Jean Paul Gaultier has collaborated with Roche Bobois to produce a new couture furniture collection and the highlights include the Paravent bed and the Mah Jong modular sofa. The Paravent bed will scorch any bedroom with its extravagant form factor that includes an avant-garde upholstered headboard and its chic silver and chromed finish. The Mah Jong sofa on the other hand enchants with its pop culture iconography, its ultra plush cushions and its quirky design.

Stretch and Bend Like a Pretzel

Doesn’t the shape of the Pretzel Bench have you craving crunchy pretzels?

Designed by Abie Abdillah of Indonesia, the Pretzel Bench is made from 100% rattan. In his country of Indonesia, rattan is an abundant resource that accounts for 70% of the entire world’s supply.

Abdillah explains details about rattan, how it is a natural material that while strong, it also has the ability to bend and stretch, like a pretzel. He designed the twisty shape of the Pretzel Bench to exemplify this unique quality of rattan.

Cirrus Graphic Table Is Made From DuPont’s Corian
