Plaid Bench For The Outdoors By Raw Edges

11:51 pm in Outdoor Furniture, Patio & Outdoor Furniture, Public Spaces by Tanya

Public benches hardly ever inspire excitement as most of them tend to fall in the monotonous solid color trap. However that is not the case with the Plaid Bench which is a cornucopia of colors and patterns. Conceptualized by London studio Raw Edges, the Plaid Bench is a heady mix of white, blue and yellow stripes and instantly aspire you to park your derrière on it. Made up of plywood and hardwood the Plaid Bench is quite a relief from the usual archetype benches.

Let the Wooden Carpet be the magic carpet that takes you, and your decor, to new heights.

Designed by Elisa Strozyk for Boewer Interior, the Wooden Carpet is a three-dimensional rug that provides a unique alternative to your flooring situation. Perfect if you want wood floors  but don’t want the trouble or expense of installing them!

By cutting different shapes of wood and arranging them in a mosaic design is how the Wooden Carpet achieves its textural, three dimensional appearance. Each variation has its own design.

The Wooden Carpet is available in four styles of wood variations: Sherwood, Wentwood, Ashdown and Mortimer. Each combining different types of wood from teak, mahogany, walnut, etc. A grey linen fringe of the ends of the Wooden Carpet is optional.

Edgewire Table Simple Design Combines Aluminum and Glass

11:16 pm in Coffee Table, Coffee, End & Side Tables, Design, Furniture, Glass, Table by chris

Not everyone in the room will like the idea of desecrating a Pinball machine and turn it into a coffee table like we showed you the other day so for those people I have an alternative today. The simple Edgewire table designed by Alex Sacchetti might be exactly the kind of table you are looking for. As you can clearly see the table has a very simple yet fashionable design and the Edgewire will fit with various other modern furniture elements in your home. The Edgewire table is made of an aluminum edge that also acts as the table's legs and a 12mm thick glass top. While that glass is definitely durable, make sure you avoid unwanted accidents by not placing too much stuff on the Edgewire table. That's of course if you decide to go for such a table design in the first place. Via Alex Sacchetti

Coffee Table Made Out of Pinball Machine, What’s Not to Like?

8:28 am in Coffee Tables, Coffee, End & Side Tables, Diy, Furniture, Modern Design, Table by chris

No matter how old you are you must have surely played at least a game of pinball. The computer Pinball versions also count but they come without the magic a real Pinball table has to offer. So why not capture that whole Pinball tablet into an actual coffee table? That's right, the coffee table in the picture below actually contains a former Pinball layout. Of course, in order to make such a thing yourself, you'd need basic carpentry knowledge, enough wood and, the most important thing, an old, non-functional Pinball machine. Once these requirements are met you'll be in for one of the best do-it-yourself projects you have ever been involved in. Now only if this coffee table was actually a working Pinball machine, and I don't just mean turning on those LED lights... Via Instructables

Optix Bathtub Series By Maax Collection

3:20 am in Bathroom Design & Furniture, Tubs by Tanya

Pink is not my color of choice when it comes to any aspect of home decor, however the Optix Bathtub Series somehow manages to carry this usual jarring shade with panache. Designed by Maax Collection, the Optik Post-Minimalist Bathtub is all about simplicity and understated elegance without falling in trap of the usual monochromatic route. The contemporary styling, the exuberant color palette and the sinuous lines makes the bathtub a formidable member of the bathroom culture. It will be wrong to assume that the bathtub is only about style since it features massage options, curvaceous armrests, a spacious flat deck surface and a cushioned head pillow.
