The Red Nest is an interesting design that makes the most of small apartments. It's a modular design that offers plenty of storage space, a sleeping area and a working area, but we'll notice there's no kitchen area. The red coat of paint combined with a couple of strategically placed mirrors make the whole room seem a lot bigger than it actually is. The bookshelf is a mobile unit meant to hide the bed or the working area, according to your needs. The bathroom is also worth noticing since, as you can imagine, it doesn't offer that much space either. The Red Nest is definitely a great design for small spaces, and in case you're thinking about renting such an apartment then you know how you can decorate it to make the most of the available space. Those who want a respite from contemporary modern furniture and have a natural predilection towards something more classic, then they should check out the Paterson Black Bench and Panel with Wheat Cushion. The collection has been inspired by built-in cabinetry from turn-of-the-century homes and there is no doubt that the elegant tapered legs and black lacquer finish will stand out in any decor. Designed to be completely functional, the mirrored back panel also moonlights as a coat rack due to the presence of the antiqued bronze hooks. The Paterson Black Bench can be purchased from Crate and Barrel for $547.

This Plug-in Side Table is not only going to act as a really neat night stand for your bedroom but it's also going to bring light to the room whenever light is needed. Depending on how you're looking at it this Side Table doubles as a lamp or as a bedside table, but either way you're the winner here if deciding to opt for such a design. The only thing that might be a problem is that the Plug-in Side Table might not match the height of your wall sockets so some wall remodeling will be required to accommodate this piece of furniture / lamp. But you like the Plug-in Side Table, don't you? Via Decoist

Forging an interactive bond with its consumer, the dominoes can be played around to create varied patterns and designs.

We've seen plenty of interesting chairs here at Furniture Fashion and today we're going to look at another interesting design. The Dandy glass chair looks rather fragile but it will certainly be a very safe seating solution for your kitchen. The Dandy has a chromed metal frame and the glass you see there is actually an acrylic shell filled with relief decoration. So it's not real glass, which means it's definitely more resistant than regular glass. The Dandy glass chairs are available in white or black but also in transparent colors: clear, red, coffee and smoke. Would you buy a Dandy chair set for your modern kitchen? Via Fiam

The Table Pad from Crate & Barrel is one of the most nifty home accessories out there since it protects your exquisite dining table without sacrificing the aesthetics. Concealed beneath table linens, the PEVA pad with embossed texture is liquid-proof which means it will protect the table from nasties like scratches. The pad can be cut according to your table size and can be stored in a reusable pouch.
