Montego : Expanding Round Dining Table from Pottery Barn

5:00 pm in Uncategorized by John

The Montego is a wonderfully crafted round dining table that is made of solid mahogany wood and some veneers on its table top. The furniture weighs 154 lbs. which speaks to its solid construction. I like the flexibility of dining tables that expand like this model. There is an extra leave which adds another 20″ making its overall length at 65″. There are 7 choices in wood stains to choose from. For $25 you can request a wood swatch so that you can make a more precise decision about the best color for your dining room. The Montego round dining table is a flexible solution for dining rooms seeking a classic look. Price: $1,599. This product is available at Pottery Barn: HERE.

Manhattan : the Best Leather Recliner from Pottery Barn

4:00 am in Uncategorized by John

I have followed Pottery Barn for years. I can tell you that their best leather recliner is their Manhattan model. Having owned one of these chairs for several years I can say that the quality has been top notch. There have been no issues with springs, the reclining mechanism or the leather upholstery. The iconic color for them is the cigar brown which creates a classic look for any room this chair may sit in. I will say this chair does have a sizable footprint so if your floor space is limited, it may be a challenge to work into a smaller room. Dimensions: 39” wide x 40” deep x 36” high. Price: $1,899-$1,999. Buy the product: HERE.

It’s below 70 degrees here today, and I’m already cold. No, I’m definitely not a fan of winter. I found something that might help though, that I want to share with all of you today. From I-radium comes the Totem, a portable space heater designed to complement your décor. Sure, space heaters have been around for some time, but they definitely weren’t anything you wanted to look at. Now you can be warm and in style. And well that makes my day!

B&B Italia’s Up Furniture Series Celebrates its 40th Anniversary

5:00 pm in Uncategorized by John

Before they became B&B Italia, the company of C&B Italia and Gaetano Pesce collaborated to create the Up series in 1969. This collaboration brought together the furniture industry and an artist on the Up project. Gaetano Pesce brought his influence to the project and in particular his own personal interpretation of women as viewed by society. He stated, “I was telling a personal story about my notion of women: despite themselves, women have always been prisoners of their own making. Along these lines, I liked the idea of giving this armchair a feminine shape with a ball and chain, the traditional image of the prisoner.” Thus, was the inspiration that created Up 5_6 which is now an iconic piece of furniture history. The “ball and chain” chair and ottoman set were reproduced in 2000 with improved upholstery and manufacturing techniques. The Up series remains a popular part of B&B Italia’s furniture line. Via.
