So why are green-minded New Yorkers so lucky?
New York is home to the Columbia Business School Alumni Club, which has started a new Sustainable Business Committee. In an effort to stay current with green trends, the committee is launching an eight-part series on green business.
The series kicks off on September 16, 2009 with a major event, featuring Ray Anderson, Chairman of Interface, speaking about his new book, Confessions of a Radical Industrialist.
Also featured is Rohit Aggrawala, Director of NYC Mayor's Office of Long Term Planning and Sustainability, talking about GreeNYC -- and green jobs in the city.
Starting October, there will be one event per month featuring a different green business topic. (I'm spearheading the Green Marketing event in February).
Anyone attending 6 of the 8 events receives a Certificate of Attendance from the Columbia Business School Alumni Club of New York. A nice addition to any green job seeker's resume, for sure.
That all sounds pretty lucky to me!
Hope to see you on September 16.
