One Month Left to Comment on USDA’s Proposed BioPreferred Label

You have one month left (until September 29, 2009) to comment on the USDA’s proposed BioPreferred label that we first posted here earlier this month. The proposed BioPreferred eco-label will identify “bio-based” products (i.e., made out of agricultural, forestry, or marine-based products). Click here to read a one-page fact sheet about the proposed label.

Visit the links below for more information:

     – Read the BioPreferred news release
     – Read about the proposed label in the Federal Register
     – Leave comments (First, click on “Search for a Proposed Rule” and insert “0503-AA35″ or “biobased” (no quotes) under “keyword.”)
     – Visit the BioPreferred Web site at www.biopreferred.gov

Feel free to contact us directly with any questions that you may have.

Luna Modern Designer Office Desk by Uffix

An office desk for the modern-inclined. Desks are apt to become a bit boring if you don’t push the envelope in terms of style. Four legs, a desktop, maybe a modesty panel… it takes daring to spice up this often overlooked piece of furniture. The Luna Modern Designer Office Desk is on the cutting-edge of office fashion, and it is a truly unmatched piece. It has a dynamic, active energy that will no doubt inspire productivity. The curved form is unhurried, yet powerful, and the red modesty panel is the perfect contrast to its ultra-modern metallic painted aluminum. You’ll find the Luna Modern Designer Office Desk by Uffix at eRoomService.com for $13,295.00.

Odd Decorating Choices

It’s Friday so let’s have some fun today.  Like many of you I’m sure, there are quite a few home and design blogs that I read daily. In the last few days or so, I came upon several very interesting (ok odd) home decorating decisions. Here are two of the “best”.  I hope you enjoy –

Loius Vuitton House

This first one comes from one of my daily reads Freshome. Someone in Mexico really likes Louis Vuitton that’s for sure.   Definitely different, besides the obvious fact that this is an odd decorating choice for sure, I’m impressed that someone took the time to paint the LV logo on his/her entire exterior. From that perspective it’s pretty impressive, though I’m pretty sure this is not what the people at Louis Vuitton had in mind when this now iconic design was first conceived.

Star Wars House

This tribute to Star Wars comes from Unplggd. While I’m sure plenty of guys who grew up with Star Wars still hold a special place for it, this one takes it to a whole new level. These are only two images from the home, but I assure you each and every room is decked out in full Star Wars décor. Wow. That’s really all I can say about this.

Star Wars House

Happy Friday and I’ll see you back here on Monday!  If you come across any more really strange décor choices, please send them my way!
